Registration for WAR Games Con 2011 is now open. We listened to your feedback, reviewed the results, and there are changes.
For example, Badges. We'll have badges this year, inspired by one of our participants from last year. Yes, the picture above might be a hint.
While gaming will always be the focus, we are devoting some floor space to vendors this year, to give you other things to do besides eat, drink, and game.
We have added Saturday and Sunday events for Warmachine, and a 2-day Flames of War Tournament for Saturday/Sunday as well.
Our 40K GT has some significant changes.
First, no more rules quiz or list submission points. The rules quiz will still have a prize, but we have enough games to not need the points for differentiation.
Second, Sportsmanship now has no bearing on the overall winner; over the course of two years we have found almost no difference between the top twenty players in Sportsmanship scoring, and very little deviation over the whole field. Sportsmanship will still be scored and prizes awarded, and we will still discuss any Sportsmanship score other than Good with the participants.
Third, expect objectives to be closer to the book mission objectives for most games. Example missions will be published in the coming months.
More to come...
